Privacy Policy

Last updated: February 27, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how PicSwipe ("we," "us," and "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the PicSwipe mobile app, website, and related services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect the following categories of data:

Information you provide directly

  • Support requests and messages you send to us by email
  • Information you choose to include in bug reports or support attachments

App data stored primarily on your device

PicSwipe is designed as a local-first workflow. Your photo and video media are processed on your device. We do not upload your personal photos or videos to our servers as part of core app functionality.

The app may store local session data, app preferences, and app-generated identifiers on your device to make features work reliably.

Subscription and transaction information

If you make purchases, Apple and RevenueCat may provide us or our app with subscription and entitlement information, such as product identifiers, plan status, renewal status, and transaction metadata needed to unlock paid features and support billing-related requests.

Advertising and attribution data (when enabled)

If advertising or attribution features are enabled, third-party SDKs (such as Google Mobile Ads and TikTok Events) may collect or receive device-level advertising and event data subject to your OS permissions and provider settings.

Website analytics data

Our website may use analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or PostHog, when configured) that collect technical information like IP address, browser type, pages viewed, and approximate location from IP.

2. How We Use Information

  • Provide and maintain app functionality
  • Verify subscriptions and entitlements
  • Respond to support and privacy requests
  • Improve app quality and user experience
  • Measure service reliability, detect abuse, and prevent fraud
  • Serve and measure advertising, where applicable

3. Legal Bases (Where Required)

Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process data to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests (such as security and product improvement), and based on consent where required.

4. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal information for money. We may share limited data with service providers that help us operate the Service, including:

  • Apple (App Store purchases, subscription management, and platform services)
  • RevenueCat (subscription and entitlement infrastructure)
  • Google Mobile Ads (if ads are enabled)
  • TikTok Events tooling for attribution (if enabled)
  • Hosting, analytics, or support tooling providers for the website and support operations

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, to protect users and the public, or in connection with a business transfer (such as a merger or acquisition).

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as needed for legitimate business and legal purposes, then delete or anonymize it where feasible.

Because PicSwipe is local-first, much operational data remains on your device until you remove it or uninstall the app.

6. Your Rights and Choices

  • Manage app permissions in iOS Settings
  • Cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings
  • Disable or limit ad tracking via iOS privacy settings where available
  • Request access, correction, or deletion of data we control, where applicable
  • Request help by contacting us at btzlatin@gmail.com

7. International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States. If you use the Service from another country, your information may be processed in countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

8. Children's Privacy

PicSwipe is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. California Privacy Notice

California residents may have rights under California privacy laws, including rights to request access to or deletion of personal information, subject to exceptions. We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration.

11. Policy Updates

We may update this policy from time to time. When changes are material, we will revise the "Last updated" date and provide additional notice when required.
